SAGGING vs. BODY IMPRESSION

Mattress Wear

A common misconception is mistaking body impressions for sagging.

Sagging refers to the foundation and/or innerspring giving out. Today's mattresses have been redesigned one-sided to be maintenance free. This means there is more padding and foam on one side of the mattress than ever before. The manufacturers use the highest quality foams in their products.

Depending on the quality of your bed, after a break-in period of six weeks to six months you may notice what is referred to as body impressions. Impressions of up to 1-1/2" are normal and perfectly acceptable. Anything over 1-1/2" is considered a defect and applicable to your warranty.

You should buy a new box spring or foundation at the same time you buy your mattress.
